Ingest profiles

A named bundle of rename template + IPTC preset + photographer profile.

If you shoot the same kind of event regularly — race weekends, weddings, studio sessions — you probably want the same filename pattern, the same IPTC defaults, and the same credit block applied every time. An ingest profile groups those three pieces under one name.

  1. Open Settings → Manage ingest profiles….
  2. Name the profile (e.g. "Race weekend"). Pick a filename template, an IPTC preset, and a photographer profile from the dropdowns. Each piece is optional.
  3. Optionally mark it default.

Next time you import a card, the SD modal shows an Ingest profile dropdown above the album picker. Selecting one auto-applies all three pieces:

  • Filename template runs at rename time.
  • IPTC preset overwrites the album's metadata defaults (credit, copyright, city, country, …).
  • Photographer profile sets creator + copyright on the album.

Album-level fields cascade to every photo via the IPTC pipeline.
